Remote Sites

In partnership with Notre Dame International and International Services, OIT established guidelines for a technology strategy to encompass Notre Dame remote facilities.

While every effort has been made to ensure the technology experience is similar to that of the main campus, each site is unique and will require students, visiting faculty and staff follow these guidelines to prepare their electronic devices for use within the facility.

Preparing for computer and wireless access at remote facilities

In order to connect to the wireless network at remote sites, you will need to go to to download the wifi configuration tool.

Prior to utilizing the computer labs you must “opt-in” using the remote site campus Opt-In Service. This service automatically provides access to computing services while abroad. It is strongly recommended to set this up prior to leaving campus to ensure a successful computing experience while away.

You can access the Opt-In Service at When accessing this service, you will be prompted to enter your NetID and password. Once completed, you will receive a message stating you have successsfully opted in to the international computing services. If you have difficulty utilizing this service while on or near the main campus, contact the OIT Help Desk for assistance.
